About Me.
Hi, I'm Muskan, or as my friends and family call me, Muski.
I'm a lifelong reader, aspiring author, and someone who's constantly trying to make sense of herself through stories. I grew up in the beautiful chaos of Delhi before spending my late teens and early twenties in Toronto and London. Somewhere between countries, books became the one place that always felt like home.
These days, I'm building a life that feels intentionally mine. I'm starting an in-person book club because I believe reading is better when it's shared. I've recently fallen in love with scuba diving, and I'm always chasing experiences that remind me how much there still is to discover, both about the world and about myself.
I've always been a reader. I was the kid who carried a book everywhere, the teenager who drifted away from reading for a while, and the adult who found her way back with even more enthusiasm. Last year I read over 100 books, and this year is looking much the same.
Fantasy and science fiction will always have my heart, especially stories filled with political intrigue, morally grey characters, and women who refuse to stay within the lines they've been given. I also love literary fiction, the occasional mystery, and lately I've been venturing into more non-fiction and self-help.
I believe every story reflects the world it was written in. Books are political because people are political. I care deeply about feminism, not because I think women are perfect, but because I believe we've inherited a world that teaches us to judge women more harshly than men. The stories we tell, celebrate, and criticise shape the way we see ourselves and each other, and I love talking about all of it.
This little corner of the internet is where I write about the books that move me, frustrate me, and occasionally consume my entire personality. You'll also find reflections on building a life, navigating adulthood, finding community, and embracing all the wonderfully chaotic moments in between.
If you love dragons and difficult women, messy characters, impossible moral dilemmas, beautifully written prose, or simply talking about books as if they're real life, I think we'll get along just fine.
